Podcast: Keeping the Marriage Bed Pure

Listen to the Podcast or Read the Transcript Below            Maintaining purity in marriage is a crucial aspect of a godly relationship. It honors God and strengthens the bond between husband and wife.  Embrace Biblical Teachings on Purity The Bible offers clear guidance on maintaining purity within marriage. Hebrews 13:4 (KJV) states: "Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge." This verse emphasizes the sanctity of marriage and the importance of keeping the marriage bed pure. Cultivate a Heart of Faithfulness Faithfulness is the cornerstone of a pure marriage. Proverbs 5:18-19 (KJV) encourages husbands and wives to delight in each other: "Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth. Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love." Embrace faithfulness by cherishing and valuing your s...

Devotional | Winning Your Husband to the Gospel

1 Peter 3 offers profound wisdom for Christian women, especially those whose husbands do not share their faith. Let’s explore how these verses can guide us in living out our faith (allowing Christ to live in and through us in the details of our lives) and potentially winning our husbands to Christ through our godly living.  “Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.” (1 Peter 3:1-2, KJV) 1 Peter is written specifically to those Jewish believers (and any gentile believers) during the tribulation period. The 7 year tribulation, also called "Jacobs trouble" starts sometime after the church the Body of Christ is raptured up into heaven. It is the resumption of God's prophetic program with Israel. Although 1 Peter is specifically written to those believers going through the tribulation period, the...

Your Homemaking is Not Unnoticed

We are not alone in our daily tasks. As Christian wives, mothers and homemakers we might sometimes think that our daily duties go unnoticed or perhaps don't matter that much to others. But what we do each day in our homes does not go unnoticed.  Rom 15:33 KJV - "Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen." First of all, the Lord sees you. He delights in us lovingly serving him by us joyfully serving our families. He delights in us being obedient to our husband, taking care of our children, and keeping our homes clean, neat and tidy. He is glad when we take time for bible study and prayer, teaching our children Gods word, and when older Christian women mentor the younger women. He is happy when we fellowship with other believers, serve others, share the gospel, and encourage others. Christ lives in us as believers and each moment that we yeild ourselves over to serve him earns us more rewards for the heavenly places, and brings glory to God.  Titus 2:4-5 "That they m...

Keeping a Homemaker Schedule

Proverbs 31:27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. These are just some helpful suggestions, not rules that you have to follow, but are some things that have worked for me . If you are unable to be a full-time homemaker, you can adjust your schedule in a way that works for your family. God wants women, especially the young women, to be busy taking care of their families, studying His word and teaching her children Gods word. He doesn't want us being idle, nor to be busy doing things that are not profitable or edifying. 1 Tim 5:6 says, But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth. 1 Tim 5: 13 And withal they learn to be  idle , wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies (gossiping), speaking things which they ought not.  14 I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak repr...

Biblical Submission

Submission is a common word in the King James Bible. The Websters 1828 dictionary defines submission as: • The act of submitting; the act of yielding to power or authority; surrender of the person and power to the control or government of another. • Acknowledgment of inferiority or dependence; humble or suppliant behavior. • Obedience; compliance with the commands or laws of a superior. submission of children to their parents is an indispensable duty. • Resignation; a yielding of one's will to the will or appointment of a superior without murmuring. Entire and cheerful submission to the will of God is a christian duty of prime excellence. Believers are to submit themselves to God's will. They are also to submit themselves to serving one another in love and charity. Children are to submit to their parents; younger people are to submit to [respect] their elders; we are to submit ourselves to obeying the laws of our land (human government); etc. Women are to submit to t...

Homemaking is a Ministry

As mentioned in a previous study, God cares about homemaking. So today let's talk about some practical ways to minister to your family through being a homemaker.  • Read the Bible together regularly and have personal Bible study time too. Proverbs 22:6 KJV Train up a child in the way he should go: And when he is old, he will not depart from it. 2 Timothy 1:5 “When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.” As a homemaker you can make reading the Bible together as a family a regular thing. You can begin and/or end the day with reading the Bible for a certain amount of time (even 10-15 minutes is great!) as well as perhaps any grace devotionals or Bible studies that might help your children of various ages to understand scriptures.  It's also important that your children see you making your own personal Bible study a priority. You could do this before you...

Homemaking is Important to God

Homemaking is very important to God. God actually speaks about women being homemakers in scripture. Let's look at some verses. Titus 2:5 5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. Proverbs 14:1  - Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands. Proverbs 31 27 She looketh well to the ways of her household , and eateth not the bread of idleness. 1 Timothy 5:14  - I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. Our lives as believers should not be all about worldly achievements and ambitions. When we are saved, the reason why God doesn't just take us up to heaven immediately is so that we can remain here a little while to: 1) Give the gospel to others. This would include our own children and teaching our children Gods word.   2) Read, study a...
