Living Godly in an Ungodly World | Sonship Edification | September 2025

September Devotional and Bible Study Journaling  Living Godly in an Ungodly World   " For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come." -1 Tim 4:8 "If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;" -1 Tim 6:3 Godly living is not a performance—it is a participation. It is not about conforming to religious expectations, but about being conformed to the image of Christ through the renewing of our minds. In a world that resists truth and exalts self, the believer is called to live not by reaction, but by revelation. This calling is uniquely revealed through the Apostle Paul’s epistles to the Body of Christ, where the mystery of godliness is unfolded—not as law-keeping, but as Sonship . Godliness is the outworking of our identity as sons and daughters of God, e...

Keeping Our Focus on Things Above | August 2025 Devotional

“Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.”  —Colossians 3:2–3 Thinking on Things Above: Not Mystical, But Positional In the Mid-Acts dispensational view, “thinking on things above” is not about mysticism or chasing signs and wonders—it’s about anchoring our minds in the positional truths revealed through Paul’s distinct apostleship. It’s about understanding who we are in Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery (Romans 16:25), and letting that truth shape our thoughts, decisions, and affections. “For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.”  —Philippians 3:20 We are not Israel. We are not under law. We are not waiting for a kingdom to come down to earth. We are part of the Body of Christ, a heavenly people with a heavenly hope . Our blessings are “in heavenly places in Christ” (Ephesians 1:3), and our identity is not tied t...

June Devotional: Rightly Divided Bible Study

June Devotional: Rightly Dividing the Scriptures Understanding the Bible can sometimes be challenging, but the principle of “rightly dividing the word of truth” provides a clear framework for interpretation.  “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”  (2 Timothy 2:15, KJV) Devotional:  “Rightly dividing the word of truth” involves recognizing the distinct ways God has interacted with humanity throughout history. This method, often referred to as dispensationalism , helps us understand the Bible’s overarching narrative and God’s specific instructions for different dispensations. In 2 Timothy 2:15 in the KJB, Paul urges Timothy to be diligent in his study of Scripture, ensuring he correctly interprets and applies God’s Word. This involves distinguishing between God’s instructions for Israel under the Law and His instructions for the Church the Body of Christ under grace. By doing so, we can a...

Devotional | Finding Contentment in Life

In a world that constantly pushes us to seek more, it can be challenging to find true contentment. As Christian women, we are called to find our satisfaction and peace in Christ.  “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.” -Philippians 4:11 The apostle Paul, writing from a place of imprisonment, shares a profound lesson on contentment. Despite his circumstances, Paul learned to be content in every situation. This contentment was not based on external conditions but on his relationship with Christ. Contentment is a state of the heart and mind. It is about trusting God’s provision and being grateful for His blessings. When we focus on what we have rather than what we lack, we cultivate a spirit of thankfulness. This gratitude shifts our perspective and helps us see God’s goodness in every aspect of our lives. Proverbs 15:16 reminds us,  “Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble ...
