June Devotional: Rightly Divided Bible Study

June Devotional: Rightly Dividing the Scriptures Understanding the Bible can sometimes be challenging, but the principle of “rightly dividing the word of truth” provides a clear framework for interpretation.  “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”  (2 Timothy 2:15, KJV) Devotional:  “Rightly dividing the word of truth” involves recognizing the distinct ways God has interacted with humanity throughout history. This method, often referred to as dispensationalism , helps us understand the Bible’s overarching narrative and God’s specific instructions for different dispensations. In 2 Timothy 2:15 in the KJB, Paul urges Timothy to be diligent in his study of Scripture, ensuring he correctly interprets and applies God’s Word. This involves distinguishing between God’s instructions for Israel under the Law and His instructions for the Church the Body of Christ under grace. By doing so, we can a...

Devotional | Finding Contentment in Life

In a world that constantly pushes us to seek more, it can be challenging to find true contentment. As Christian women, we are called to find our satisfaction and peace in Christ.  “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.” -Philippians 4:11 The apostle Paul, writing from a place of imprisonment, shares a profound lesson on contentment. Despite his circumstances, Paul learned to be content in every situation. This contentment was not based on external conditions but on his relationship with Christ. Contentment is a state of the heart and mind. It is about trusting God’s provision and being grateful for His blessings. When we focus on what we have rather than what we lack, we cultivate a spirit of thankfulness. This gratitude shifts our perspective and helps us see God’s goodness in every aspect of our lives. Proverbs 15:16 reminds us,  “Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble ...

Devotional | The Gift of Mentoring Women on Biblical Womanhood

Scripture  Titus 2:3-5 KJB  “The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;  That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,  To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed." Mentorship is a powerful way for older Christian women to share their wisdom and experience with the younger generation. It is a beautiful expression of discipleship, fostering growth and godliness in the lives of younger women. Reflection:  Older women have a wealth of knowledge and life experience that can greatly benefit younger women. By mentoring, they can provide guidance, support, and encouragement, helping younger women navigate the challenges of life and faith. This relationship is mutually enriching, as it allows older women to fulfill their God-given role of teachin...

Devotional | The Joy of Being a Homemaker

As Christian women, we are called to find joy and purpose in the roles God has given us. Homemaking is a beautiful and fulfilling ministry that allows us to reflect God’s love and care within our homes. Let’s explore the joy of being a homemaker through the lens of Scripture. Scripture Reading:   “She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.”  (Proverbs 31:27, KJV) Devotional:  In today’s fast-paced world, the role of a homemaker is often undervalued. Yet, the Bible speaks highly of the woman who diligently cares for her home and family. Proverbs 31 paints a picture of a woman who is industrious, wise, and loving. She finds joy in her work because she knows it is pleasing to the Lord. As homemakers, we have the unique opportunity to create a sanctuary of peace and love. Our homes can be a reflection of God’s kingdom, where kindness, patience, and grace abound. Each task, whether it is cooking a meal, cleaning a room, or tending t...

Devotional | The Joy of the Lord

Scripture: “...for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” - Nehemiah 8:10 KJB In the midst of our busy lives, it can be easy to lose sight of the joy that God offers us. Yet, as Christian women, we are called to embrace this joy, which is a gift from the Lord and a source of strength in every season of life. Reflection:  Joy is not merely a fleeting emotion but a deep-seated sense of well-being that comes from knowing and trusting God. It is rooted in the assurance that God is in control and that His love for us is unchanging. Even when we face challenges and hardships, we can find joy in the presence of the Lord. This joy sustains us, giving us the strength to persevere and the hope to look forward to better days. Prayer:  Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of joy that comes from knowing You. Help me to find joy in every circumstance, trusting that You are with me and that Your plans for me are good. Fill my heart with Your joy and let it overflow into every area of...

Devotional |The Beauty of A Gentle Spirit

A Devotional for Highly Sensitive Christian Women If you are a highly sensitive Christian woman, you have a unique ability to sense and respond to the needs of your family with deep empathy and love. This sensitivity is a precious gift from God, enabling you to create a nurturing and peaceful home. However, it can also lead to feeling overwhelmed by the demands of parenting and homemaking. In these moments, remember the words of Psalm 46:10. God calls us to be still and recognize His presence.  Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth." When the noise of daily life becomes too much, take a moment to pause and connect with Him. Your sensitivity allows you to feel deeply, but it also means you need to find quiet spaces to recharge and seek His guidance. Remember that for all believers God's Spirit now dwells in your spirit. You can also seek guidance from Him through His word and in prayer. That's...
