Your Identity in Christ

Your Identity in Christ

From the moment we place our faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ, we become part of something wondrous—the body of Christ—sealed, secure, and sanctified. Mid-Acts dispensationalism rightly divides the Word of Truth (2 Timothy 2:15) by recognizing the unique message entrusted to Paul, the Apostle of the Gentiles (Romans 11:13). This perspective reminds us that our identity is not grounded in law, ceremony, or religious striving—but in the unsearchable riches of grace (Ephesians 3:8).

Who You Are in Christ—Rightly Divided

Through Paul’s epistles (Romans–Philemon), we discover a stunning, Spirit-revealed portrait of the believer:

  • Accepted in the beloved (Ephesians 1:6)

  • Forgiven through His blood (Ephesians 1:7)

  • Sealed with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13

  • Made nigh by His blood (Ephesians 2:13)

  • Complete in Him (Colossians 2:10)

  • A member of His body (1 Corinthians 12:27)

This identity isn’t earned or maintained through works. It is gifted, secured, and empowered by grace alone, apart from the law (Galatians 2:21). You are already blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places (Ephesians 1:3).

Daily Application: Living Out Your Identity

The truths of who we are in Christ aren't merely theological—they're transformational. Here are some gentle, grace-centered ways to live these truths:

  • Write identity-based affirmations: Let scriptures guide your journaling. For example, "I am accepted in the beloved—my belonging is not based on my past, but on Christ’s love."

  • Use grace to quiet striving: When tempted to measure yourself against religious standards, remind your heart that your completeness is in Him (Colossians 2:10). Rest in grace.

  • Set grace-focused reminders: Sticky notes with verses on your mirror, watercolor affirmations on your wall, or devotionals in your planner all reinforce God’s truth about you.

  • Pray from your seated position: Ephesians 2:6 says you are seated with Christ in heavenly places. Let your prayers reflect that intimacy and spiritual authority.

Modesty Makeover

After I began studying 1st Corinthians chapter 11 for my own personal Bible studies as well as for upcoming studies on my podcast and YouTube channel, I had a real change of heart regarding several topics. Including headship, (a woman's role not only at home but in the church and in society), headcoverings and regarding modesty.  I suddenly realized that I was giving too much attention to the fashions of this world. I also realized that I was making up my own modesty rules or comparing myself with current modesty standards in the world and even in Christendom instead of simply turning to God's word for answers to these issues. I began to read and study regarding this topic and was surprised to realize just how many people today go around practically naked in God's eyes.  Nakedness is not just being totally nude. It's revealing certain parts of the body that God wants us to cover. The Apostle Paul said that at certain times they had been naked because of the sufferings ...

Finding Joy in Simplicity

Finding Joy in Simplicity: Lessons from “ Little House on the Prairie ” and the Bible In today’s world, financial struggles can often feel overwhelming, but Christian women can find true happiness and contentment even in the midst of financial hardship. By drawing inspiration from the Bible and the beloved series “ Little House on the Prairie ,” we can discover how to cultivate joy and peace regardless of our economic circumstances. Biblical Foundations of Contentment The Bible offers profound wisdom on finding contentment and joy, irrespective of material wealth. One of the most powerful verses on this topic is found in Philippians 4:11-13, where Paul writes, “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content . I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which ...
