Thankful for Our Blessed Hope

Today's study I will be talking about how believers ought to be thankful for our blessed hope. Well, what is the blessed hope? The rapture!

The rapture is a monumental moment that is going to occur in the future for all members of the church the Body of Christ. It is much more than just us being taken out of here before the 7 year tribulation. It is the culmination (ending) of the dispensation of grace in which believers are gathered up by Christ unto Himself (we meet the Lord in the air); we receive our glorified eternal bodies; we are reunited with loved ones who are also in Christ; And we will then live peacefully forever with Christ in the Heavenly places! We are also delivered completely from the fallen, sinful world and in our glorified bodies we will never sin again nor will we ever experience sickness, pain or death. We will never have to deal with Satan's lies and persecution either ever again!

After the rapture, we will have our believers judgement and receive our Heavenly rewards and then we will be placed into our new Heavenly careers in the heavens to continue to love, serve and worship God in the Heavens forever! Heaven will NOT be a boring place. We will have food, drink, nature, fellowship with other Saints and even Angels (and other Heavenly creatures because angels are just one kind of Heavenly creature!), probably also pets and animals in the heavens, homes, and things to do! We may even invent and create amazing things without the sin nature! We will also get to sit at the feet of Jesus and learn directly from him! We will continue to study God's word also forever! We can have conversations with other saints including the Apostle Paul and others! We will travel throughout all of the heavens and who knows just how vast the heavens are! There will be incredible things!

So, believers have SO MUCH to be thankful for including the coming rapture. We are thankful that we will be delivered from the wrath to come which is the 7 year tribulation.

Even if we are not physically alive on the earth the day of the rapture, we will still look forward to THAT day because it is the end of the dispensation of grace but the beginning of a whole new life for all believers- we will be gathered TOGETHER unto Him (Jesus). What a reunion! It also means that Satan and his devils will have NO MORE PLACE in heaven and Satan will have but a short time even on the earth as well. We REJOICE that God's overall plan for all of the Ages will ultimately be fulfilled! All glory goes to God!

Verses to look at:

1 Thess 4: 16-17 KJB

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

1 Thess 5: 9-10 KJB "For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him."

Ephesians 2:6-7 KJB "And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus."

Revelation 12: 7-8 KJB "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven."

Rev 12:12 KJB "Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time."

I can do all things through Christ which ...
