Romans 1:16-17 | Womens Bible Study

In Romans 1 Verses 13-17 is the Gospel. Recently we discussed verses 14-15 and today we will be discussing verses 16-17. Father God thank you so much for your precious, holy word. In Jesus name Amen.  These verses very clearly show us that we are saved by grace through faith alone without works! 16  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. First of all as believers we are not ashamed of the good news of Christ because the gospel itself really worked to save us! Jesus did EVERYTHING necessary and required to redeem us, but we are not forgiven of our sins and redeemed until we consciously choose to believe the gospel. This of course first requires that we recognize that we are sinners and cannot save ourselves. Most of humanity does not recognize this! Many never will, and it's really pride that keeps people separate from salvation; Life in Christ. The gospel is t...

Romans 1:14-15 | Womens RD Bible Study

In Romans 1 Verses 13-17 is the Gospel. Today we will be discussing verses 14 and 15. Thank you Father God for this glorious gospel of the grace of God, how that Christ Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again for our justification and that when we simply BELIEVE this gospel we are given eternal life! 14  I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise . Paul was sent out to preach the Gospel of the grace of God to the Gentile Nations. This includes both the educated (Greeks) and the uneducated (Barbarians), the wise and the unwise. As ambassadors for Christ we are NOT to discriminate between groups of people, but to share the gospel of the grace of God with anyone and everyone who is willing to hear it. Sadly there have been many instances where Christendom did not freely share the gospel with all people, but would share it only with those they deemed "worthy" of becoming members of their particular church congregations ...

Romans 1:13 | Womens RD Bible Study

In Romans 1 Verses 13-17 is the Gospel. Today we will be discussing verse 13. Father God thank you so much for sending your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ to be a propitiation for our sins! In Jesus name, amen.  13 Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles. Paul is letting the Roman believers know that he sincerely cares about their spiritual understanding of the gospel of the grace of God. He doesn't want them to be ignorant - but ignorant of what? Their standing with God first of all and who they are NOW in Christ. Why is it important to understand these things? Because with this clear understanding, we can then choose to walk in the Spirit, instead of after the flesh, and then Christ is living in and through us. This brings glory to God, helps unbelievers come unto Christ (as they see Christ living in and through us and as we share a ...

Our Eternal Security in Christ

Believers are eternally secure in Christ Jesus. Below are some key Bible verses that can help you understand our eternal security. Studying Romans chapters 1-8 is also helpful.

I'm Saved, Now What?

After Salvation what should I do? If you have clearly understood that you are a sinner who cannot save yourself, and have then believed the Gospel of the grace of God (how that Christ Jesus died for your sins, was buried and he rose again for your justification; see 1 Cor 15: 1-4) then you are now saved! You are now a child of God, with Christ’s righteousness imputed to you,  and all of your sins -- past, present and future -- are now completely forgiven!  If you are NOT saved, please CLICK HERE and read about the gospel.  Here is what I recommend that you can do after you have been saved (after believing the gospel of your salvation): 1) First, I do recommend getting a King James Bible  and begin to read and study the book of Romans, which is foundational doctrine for the believer today . I have started a simple series of videos/podcasts going through Romans available on my YouTube channel and blog ( click here for the first blog). You will learn many important th...

Salvation

Romans 3:23 says " For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" And Romans 3: 10-12 says, " As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one." So what is man to do? Well, we cannot earn our way to righteousness or to heaven. We can only be saved by Gods grace. As an answer to our problem, Father God sent his Son the Lord Jesus Christ to die for our sins, and he was buried and he rose on the third day for our justification and it is only by simple faith in this glorious gospel that we can be saved. Eph 2:8-9 says, " For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Romans 1:16 says " For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God...
