The Beauty of Biblical Submission

Scripture :   Ephesians 5:22-23  Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Submission is often misunderstood in today’s world, but within the context of a loving, Christ-centered marriage, it is a beautiful expression of trust and mutual respect. As Christian women, we are called to submit to our husbands as an act of obedience to God, reflecting the relationship between Christ and the Church. Reflection : Submission does not mean that you are less important in God's eyes than a man, nor does it mean blind obedience. Marriage is Important to God

  Marriage is important to God. In fact, God instituted marriage. Let's look at some verses.  Genesis 2:18 in the KJB says, " And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him ." Genesis 2:23-24 " And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh ." Adam understood that he was alone and God said that it was not good for the man to be alone. So, He wanted to created a help meet for Adam. What is a help meet? A help meet is a partner and companion. God would then bring Adam and Eve together in the very first marriage (Gen 2:22).
