Only Jesus Saves
Let's go back over a few things in Romans chapter 1. In verses 3 and 4 Paul says, "Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:"
This is clearly teaching us that it is only through the Lord Jesus Christ that anyone can be saved. Jesus died for our sins on the cross but he also ROSE FROM THE DEAD so that we too could be raised to new life. No one in the history of the world, including any religious figure, except for the Lord Jesus Christ, died and then rose from the grave in a GLORIFIED BODY and who is STILL ALIVE TODAY in the Heavenly Places waiting to rapture up the Body of Christ at just the right time. After the church is raptured out, when the church the Body of Christ is fully formed and ready to take their place in the heavens, then God will resume his program with Israel.
John 14:6 says, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
Acts 4:12 - Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
The Lord Jesus Christ was declared to be the Son of God when He was raised from the dead. God is a triune God. There is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. They are all God. The Lord Jesus Christ is the creator of heaven and earth. He is also the savior of mankind. His resurrection from the dead is proof.
**Homework: Reread Romans chapter 1 and then read John 1: 1-5 KJB.
Journaling:
Before salvation, were you brought up in a false religion or maybe with no religious beliefs at all? What were you taught about Jesus before you were saved? Can you see in the world how often people degrade the Lord Jesus Christ? Is there someone in your life today that needs to hear the truth about who Jesus is and what He's done for us?
