Thankful for Our Spiritual Blessings

Believers ought to be Thankful for our Spiritual Blessings in Christ Jesus

Ephesians 1:3 in the KJB says, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:"

This is an incredible thing! God has taken ungodly sinners, saved them by His grace (those that choose to believe the gospel of the grace of God), and given them ALL spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus. Not just a few blessings but ALL. Not only that, but once we are saved we don't have to beg for these blessings or try to earn them - they are FREELY given to us by His grace from the very MOMENT that we believe the gospel and we can never loose these blessings!

Ephesians 2:4-7 in the KJB says, "But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus."

We are positionally seated with Christ in the Heavenly places. The heavens are our spiritual inheritance- we are a heavenly people now, so our affections should be in heavenly places. The blessings are all SPIRITUAL and not earthly. They include but are not limited to the following (you can study Paul's Epistles to learn more about our spiritual blessings in Christ):

• We “have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Rom 5:1)

• We are “justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” (Rom 3:24, Tit 3:7)

• We are “saved from wrath through him.” (Rom 5:9)

• We are freed from the law and put under grace. (Rom 6:14, Gal 5:18)

• We become “the sons of God.” (Rom 8:14)

• We are “heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ.” (Rom 8:17, Eph 3:6)

• We are “sealed with that holy Spirit of promise” “unto the day of redemption.” (2Co 1:22, Eph 1:13, Eph 4:30, 2 Tim 2:19)

• We become “a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2Co 5:17)

• We are “accepted in the beloved.” (Eph 1:6)

• We are given a “hope which is laid up” for us “in heaven.” (Col 1:5)

• We are “forgiven all trespasses.” (Col 2:13)

• Our life is now “hid with Christ in God.” (Col 3:3)

• We now have and we look for “that blessed hope.” (Tit 2:13)

And many more! (See a fuller list at https://supplyofgrace.com/2021/11/02/101-spiritual-blessings-the-moment-we-believed/).

We really have so much to be thankful for!
