Thankful for our Identity in Christ
Before our salvation, we were spiritually dead in out trespasses and sins and were children of wrath, "Ephesians 2:1-3 KJB "And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others."
But now we are a new creature in Christ Jesus
2 Corinthians 5:17 KJB "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
We are now holy and blameless in Christ, Colossians 1:21-22 kjb “And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled. In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:”
Our old sinful natire is dead and our life is now hid with Christ in God, "Colossians 3:1-4 "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory."
We are completely righteous and holy in God's sight! Ephesians 4:24 "24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness."
And we are the sons of God! Romans 8:14-15 "14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father."
We truly have so much to be thankful for!
