Christ, Who is Our Life | Grace Devotional Bible Study for Women
Christ, Who is our life
As believers, we may sometimes be greatly misunderstood by others. When we talk about Jesus and the Bible a lot, others who either do not know Him (are unsaved) or who do know Him but have no desire to grow up spiritually (carnally minded believers) they might think that we are simply fanatics who have an odd obsession with religion. Well, what they don't understand is that Christ isn't just a fad for us and certainly, knowing Jesus isn't about religion, and He isn't just a part of our life. He IS our life!
Colossians 3:4 says,
"When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory."
Acts 17:28a says,
"For in him we live, and move, and have our being;"
He also lives in us!
Col 1:27 says
"To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."
As believers who actually believe the word of God rightly divided, we also have God's word dwelling in us.
Col 3:16
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."
We are also hid with Christ in God!
Col 3:3
"For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God."
It's okay if we are misunderstood by a lost world. What's important is that we just continue to give people the gospel so that they too can be saved and keep allowing Christ WHO IS OUR LIFE to live in and through us as believers as well!
