Devotional: “Christ Liveth in Me”

Devotional: “Christ Liveth in Me”

Galatians 2:20 (KJB)

"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."

Paul’s declaration “Christ liveth in me” is not only a statement of identity—it is the heartbeat of the dispensation of grace. In Mid‑Acts understanding, we learn that Christ’s life is formed in us not through law‑keeping, rituals, or covenant promises, but through the revelation given to Paul and the Word of God rightly divided working effectually in the believer.

Paul tells the Galatians that he travailed in birth again “until Christ be formed in you.” That formation doesn’t happen through emotional experiences or religious performance. It happens as the doctrine of Christ according to the revelation of the mystery takes root in our inner man (mind and heart).

When we study the Scriptures rightly divided, something supernatural occurs:

the Word of God works in us, renews our mind, and aligns our walk with who we, as believers, already are in Christ. This is why Paul says:

“Christ in you, the hope of glory.” (see Col 1:27)

Christ lives in us positionally the moment we trust in and believe the gospel of the grace of God, how that Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again for our justification (see 1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

But Christ is formed in us practically as the Word of God rightly divided (sound grace doctrine) builds us up. The more we understand our identity in the Body of Christ, the more His life is expressed through us.

This is also how we walk in the Spirit.

Walking in the Spirit is not a mystical feeling or a striving for spiritual highs. It is the steady, daily outworking of Christ’s life through a mind renewed by truth. The Spirit uses the Word rightly divided to strengthen the inner man so that Christ’s life—not our flesh—governs our steps.

Christ lives in you.

The rightly divided Word forms Him in you.

And through that truth, you walk in the Spirit.

This is grace in motion.

🙏 Prayer

Lord, thank You for placing Christ in me the moment I believed the gospel of grace. Help me to grow as Your Word works in my inner man, forming Christ in me so that I walk in the Spirit and not in my flesh. Teach me to rest in who I am in Christ and to let His life be seen in mine. Amen.

Ephesians 3:16-21 KJB

16That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

17That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

18May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

19And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

20¶Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

21Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
