God is a Good Father
Romans 8: 14-15 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father."
For some people in the world they may have grown up with an earthly Father that was either totally absent, or was neglectful or abusive in one way or another (mentally, emotionally, physically and/or spiritually). Even for those who grew up in a healthier environment, our earthly father wasn't always perfect! But after salvation, we are now adopted sons of God and we now have a heavenly Father who will never abuse or abandon us in any way.
Our Heavenly Father is a good Father. He never lies (Titus 1:2; Num 23:19), so that means that He will always keep His promises to us (2 Cor 1:20). For example, if the word of God rightly divided says that we are saved by grace through faith alone (Eph 2:8-9; Rom 1:16) and that we now have eternal life (Ro 6:23), and we can never loose our salvation (Eph 2:8-9), then we can trust it to be true because the Bible is God's very own word to us and God Himself never lies.
God also never changes (Malachi 3:6; Heb 13:8). His dealings with man might change through the different dispensations (Eph 1:10; Eph 3:2; Col 1:25), but Gods very own character never changes. God is always holy (1 Sam 2:2; Rev 4:8). He is also gracious, kind and loving.
No one is greater than God. This is why worshipping any other creature is futile and fruitless. God created us and all of life and only He can truly sustain and narture us. Our Father is a good Father. The more that we study the Bible and learn sound grace doctrine, the more we can know Him as our good, Heavenly Father.
