Kind & Gracious | Grace Devotional Bible Study

In Matthew 24 verses 12 and 13, the Lord is talking to the Jewish people about the coming tribulation period (which is the continuation of the prophetic program with Israel; the church the Body of Christ will have already been raptured out by then and in the Heavenly places) and says, "And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." Iniquity is wickedness. But much moreso it is also a lack of love towards others. In last weeks devotional study, we went over some verses explaining how legalistic teachings lead people to having a seared conscience and becoming narcissistic. In this verse the Lord is warning the Jews that because of all of the wickedness in the world at that time (and that includes the wickedness of false religious teachings) narcissism will really become rampant. He wants them to endure until the end. For their program at that time, this means that they must not loose faith and...

Grace in a Narcissistic World | Grace Devotional Bible Study

Grace Devotional Study & Journaling Prompt In 2 Tim chapter 3 the Apostle Paul tells us that within Christendom there will be believers who become narcissistic because they have walked away from the grace message. He says in 2 Tim 3, speaking about what happens to the church when they turn to legalistic teachings, "For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. All of these traits are what psychologists might call narcissism. A narcissist isn't just someone who is excessively interested in themselves, they are also people who are not capable of fully loving others or of having empathy for others...

Leaving Newage Doesn't Save You

Leaving New Age doesn't save you unto eternal life: Coming out of newage doesn't save you from hell. Believing the gospel of the grace of God is believing UNTO SALVATION (Eternal life). We are saved by grace through faith alone the very moment we believe the gospel. No one is saved unto eternal life by leaving a false set of religious or "spiritual" teachings and lifestyle. That is a work. People are saved by the Lord Jesus Christ by grace through faith the MOMENT that they believe the gospel (Christ's death, burial and resurrection as atonement for our sins) and faith (our believing) is not a work! God ONLY justifies believers. We have to recognize our sin nature and then choose to believe the gospel and when we believe we are then saved! Ephesians 2:8-9 KJB   8 For by grace are ye saved through faith [simply believing the gospel which is clearly described in 1 Cor 15:1-4 KJB]; and that not of yourselves: [We could never do anything to save ourselves] it is the...

Why Newage is a Sin

I'm starting a new series of blog posts, podcasts and videos called "New Age to Grace Believer". After having shared my own personal testimony of leaving the newage and coming back to biblical teachings, I received a lot of feedback from people saying that the testimony was helpful and encouraging to them. So, I thought I would take it one step further and do some helpful blog posts, podcasts and videos specifically for those who have left newage and are believers now.  If you have not read my testimony, you can do so by watching the video below if you want to I'm hoping that this will be helpful to those of you who have left the new age, and perhaps even help current new-agers to hear and understand the gospel of the grace of God and why new age is a sin and a deception, and hopefully choose to believe the gospel unto salvation. If you are a grace believer that knows anyone involved in the newage movement, or who has just left the newage, feel free to share this with...

Reflecting on Romans Ch 1

Reflecting on Romans 1 Hopefully by now you have decided to believe the gospel of the grace of God for your salvation. If you are not yet convinced, then perhaps the next study in Romans chapter 2 will help you to see your need for a savior. To be saved today just believe how that Christ Jesus died for your sins, was buried and rose again for your justification. Eph 2:8-9 says, " For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Now I want to briefly do a little self-examination with you if you are a believer including for the more mature and stablished believers. I've found Romans chapter 1 not only helpful in understanding man's desperate need for salvation (including, of course, my own need before I was saved!) but it's also a reminder to me as a Believer of what I came out from (or, who I used to be!) because of what Jesus did for me and by simple faith in his finished work I a...

Romans 1:22-32 | Womens RD Bible Study

In this study we are finishing up the last verses in the book of Romans chapter 1. Lord God, thank you for this time we can spend together studying your word. In Jesus name Amen.  22  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, God gave them up once so far and mankind now believes that He is wiser than God. This means that he puts his own thoughts, ideas, imaginings, pride and beliefs above God and His word. Sometimes man sees that something he thinks or imagines or discovers is true, or at least he thinks it's true and he becomes puffed up in himself. Modern day science is one example. As scientists discover more things, instead of being thankful to God, they just get more puffed up in themselves. The same is true with religion, medicine, philosophy or sometimes even psychology. If they find something that works to improve their daily lives, instead of being thankful to God (or even turning to God to begin with) they become puffed up in themselves.  They are al...

Romans 1: 18-21 | Womens RD Bible Study

In this study we are discussing verses 18-21 of Romans chapter 1. Lord God, thank you for this time we can spend together studying your word. In Jesus name Amen. 18  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; This verse says that God's wrath is revealed from heaven. In scripture (which is God's awesome heavenly wisdom revealed to us) we are clearly shown that God is displeased with sin. However, we are also shown that He loves us, even when we are sinners and wants us saved. The only way that we can be made totally spiritually pure and spend eternity with Him is to believe that Christ Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again for our justification. This makes God our Saviour and not ourselves. It is not even possible for us to save ourselves spiritually. People might be able to make some changes in their own earthly lives on their own even without believing God, but they canno...
