Eternally Secure in Christ | Salvation Basics l

Believers are eternally secure in Christ Jesus. Let's look over some Bible verses that give us assurance of our eternal salvation.  ✝️ We are IMPUTED with Christ's righteousness the moment we believe the gospel (1 Cor 15:3-4), we do not have our own righteousness.  2 Corinthians 5:21 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. ✝️ Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ  Romans 5:1 5 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: ✝️ There is NO condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus (and there is no self-condemnation to those believers who walk after the Spirit instead of after the flesh) Romans 8 8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from...

Romans 2 and a Study in Genesis | Women's Rightly Divided Bible Study

Romans 2 and Lessons from Genesis  Israel hasn't learned the lesson of the giving of God's law, which is that we cannot keep it in the energy of our flesh. All religious people believe that they can keep God's law, but the reality is that they cannot. People cannot even keep the law of their own conscience. In fact people can't even keep just ONE of God's laws perfectly, in their flesh. Today, to help summarize the teachings in Romans chapter 2, we are actually going to look at some verses in Genesis regarding Israel's pride in trying to keep the law by their own fleshly efforts. ✝️ Abram believed God  In Genesis 15, Abraham (named Abram at the time) believed God's promises to him and God counted it for righteousness. Basically, Abram was saved by grace through faith alone.  Let's read the verses: Genesis 15: 1-6 KJB 1 After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great re...

Something that Lasts Forever | Grace Devotional Bible Study

Something that Lasts Forever! In this world, nothing lasts forever. Our physical health declines, we grow old and die. All of our earthly accomplishments are gone and even if we are remembered by others after we are gone, how long will people remember us? Even famous people will be forgotten as time continues to move on. Florence Lawrence is known as the first movie star, but who knows who she is today? Not many. Some of the actors, singers and authors that were popular when I was a teenager in the 1990s, my own teenage daughter has never even heard of them.  People often spend their whole lives trying to accumulate money, things, various earthly accomplishments, special connections, fame, diplomas, and experiences (like traveling, parties, concerts etc) or just totally wasting time on tv, movies, video games etc. The thing is that these things do not bring glory to God (except for maybe the rare exception like traveling to a grace conference or watching a Bible study video or othe...

The Operation of God | Salvation Basics

The Operation of God  Something incredible happens to us the moment we believe the gospel of the grace of God (1 Cor 15:1-4). The Bible calls it the "operation of God". Colossians 2:12 “Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.” 1. First, the unsaved sinner decides for himself to believe the gospel.  2. Then, the Holy Spirit seals the believer the very moment they believe the gospel of the grace of God.  3. There is also a circumcision made without hands that is performed. 4. We are also spiritually baptized as a member into the body of Christ.  5. We are also made a complete member of His Body. Members are building his body of believers.  This ALL takes place the very moment that we believe the gospel of the grace of God, how that Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again for our justification!  Let's look at some verses.  ✝️ First th...

Romans 2:21-29 | Women's Rightly divided Bible study

Romans 2:21-29 Father God, thank you for this time that we can spend reading and studying your Holy Word. Thank you for teaching us in this section about the hypocrisy of religious people and that we all need salvation. In Jesus's name we pray, amen.  In these verses of Romans chapter 2 verses 21-29 KJB we see the hypocrisy of religious people.  21 Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? 22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege? 23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God? The Religious Jewish people in particular were not really keeping the law, though they claimed to be. In fact the Lord Jesus Christ said that they actually had tried to change or modify the law instead. “Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tr...

Learning how to Pray | Women's Grace Devotional

Learning How to Pray Prayer is us talking to God based upon the sound grace doctrine built up in our inner man, and His word (rightly divided) is God talking to us.  Prayer is also a form of worship. John 4:24 says, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." So, we are to pray and worship in the spirit which means that we have God's Spirit in our spirit as believers, but it also means that we are to pray based upon spiritual matters, not carnal things. God wants us to grow up spiritually by having His word dwelling in us. We pray in the truth by understanding God's word rightly divided, understanding God's will for us today as believers in the dispensation of grace, and having His word dwell in us richly. This pleases God and leads to rewards in heaven.  Colossians 3:16 "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with...

Saved by grace through faith, not of works

Believers are saved by grace through faith alone and are eternally secure in Christ Jesus. One of the saddest and worst things is for a believer to believe that they have to "do works" in order to be saved or that they must do works in order to maintain their salvation. This is actually legalism. Some believe that salvation is a progressive thing, instead of instantaneous the moment that we believe the gospel. But this is also legalistic.  Legalism is believing that you must DO works in order to be saved or in order to maintain your salvation, or even in order to receive God's blessings.  Grace means undeserved favor or gift. Believers are saved by grace through faith alone and it is a FREE GIFT from God. Not only that but we are also FREELY GIVEN all spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus as well (see ephesians 1:3). Ephesians 2:8-9 in the Holy King James Bible says, 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of ...

Romans 2:17-20 | Women's Rightly Divided Bible Study

Father God, thank you for this time that we can spend reading and studying your Holy Word. Thank you for teaching us in this section that all people, Jew and Gentile need salvation. In Jesus's name we pray, amen.  In these verses, Romans 2:17-20, Paul is very specifically addressing the Jewish people. Many of them believed (and today some of them still believe) that just because they are born Jewish, that they are automatically saved. But, this simply isn't true. 17 Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God, Just because they are physically born Jewish doesn't make them God's people or "the Israel of God". Rather, unbelieving, disobedient Jews were "of the devil" (John 8:44). God's people are believers, people who not only believe in God but who BELIEVE God. The Jews were given the law but most of them didn't really believe in it, and couldn't see its true purpose was to show us our sin nature, nee...

Can Believers Judge? | Devotional Bible Study for Women

Can Believers Judge? As believers, if we have God's word built up in our inner man (are thus spiritually minded), we can judge righteously.  1 Corinthians 2:15 15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. Unbelievers and carnal Christians love to say, "you can't judge me!" Or they might refer to us as judgemental. Yet, they judge people all of the time and they actually have NO RIGHT to judge based upon what God's word is saying here. When it comes to spiritual matters, the unbeliever and carnally minded believers are IGNORANT.  1 Cor 2:14 says But the natural man (unbeliever and carnally minded believers) receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But believers who read and study God's word rightly divided, have the mind of Christ.  1 Cor 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we h...

Peace with God | Salvation Basics

Believers have peace with God. This is everyone's greatest need! Once you have recognized that you are a sinner and cannot save yourself and have then simply believed the Gospel, how that Christ Jesus died for your sins, was buried and rose again for your justification, then you are saved and this includes having TOTAL PEACE WITH GOD.  The Lord Jesus Christ is the Lord of peace, and as believers we have peace with God because of what Christ did for us.  Romans 5:1 - Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 Thessalonians 3:16 - Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. Because of the finished work of the cross, believers can also operate in and according to God's love, grace and peace. We have God's Spirit in our spirit and as we also study His word rightly divided, the word produces peace in our inner man. Philippians 4:7 - And the peace of God, wh...

Romans 2:12-16 | Women's Rightly Divided Bible Study

Romans 2: 12-16 Father God, thank you for this time that we can spend reading and studying your Holy Word. Thank you for teaching us in this section that even religious people need salvation too. In Jesus's name, amen.  Today we are continuing to study Romans chapter 2. Now we are moving into another section in Romans chapter 2. Here we are learning about how even the religious Jewish people need salvation and are guilty before God. Let's read over the verses first and then we can go back over each one. Romans 2: 12-16 12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; 13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. 14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: 15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their c...
