Many Wonderful Things To Come!

As believers, we have a blessed hope. Life can feel so dark and heavy at times and there's so much evil and wickedness here on earth, but we have so many wonderful things to look forward to after this life on earth.

We can look forward to

• The pretribulation rapture of the Church the Body of Christ (1 Thess 5:9; 1 Thess 1:10)

1 Cor 15:52 "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."

• Being with the Lord forever

1 Thess 4:17, "Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

• Our glorified bodies and never experiencing pain, sickness, disease, sin, emotional distress, mental health issues or death ever again.

Phil 3:21 "Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself."

• Reunited with believing family and friends who are in heaven (and any children who may have died in childhood)

1 Thess 4:14 "For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him."

• The believers judgment to receive possible rewards.

2 Cor 5:10 "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad."

• Meeting God's holy angels. Ruling over and judging the angels in heaven with Christ.

1 Cor 6:3 "Know ye not that we shall judge angels?"

Not only do we have the rapture to look forward to, but also ...

• Satan and His devils being removed from heaven and eventually cast into the lake of fire forever (Rev 12:7, 9)

• All evil beings cast into the lake of fire (Rev 20:14-15)

• A new heaven and a new earth (Rev 21:1)

• The dispensation of the fulness of times! (Eph 1:10)

• All of eternity in the Heavenly Places, ruling and reigning with Christ there (2 Cor 5:1; Eph 2:6-7)

Even though believers from the dispensation of grace will joyfully be in the heavenly places, we do look forward to the Lord Jesus Christ also fulfilling His promises to Israel and that includes His

• Second coming on earth and the new covenant with Israel (Rev 1:7; Matt 25:31; Matt 16:27)

• The millennial reign of Christ on the earth (Rev 20:4; Isaiah 2:2-4)

• Israel ruling and reigning with Christ on the earth forever (Matt 19:28)

We might feel old too when we are here on earth, as our physical bodies age and we continue to experience life here on earth, but if you think about it, as believers, we are actually quite young! We will live forever with the Lord Jesus Christ! The moment we were saved was just the beginning of our eternal life!

While we are here, we can look forward to these things but also be thankful for anything good in our lives now (our salvation, our identity in Christ, peace with God, our family, friends, God's provisions etc) and keep pressing forward as well with the "work of the ministry" and our own personal Bible studies, and allowing Christ to live in and through us day by day.

I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which ...
