Devotional | The Gift of Mentoring Women on Biblical Womanhood

Scripture  Titus 2:3-5 KJB  “The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;  That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,  To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed." Mentorship is a powerful way for older Christian women to share their wisdom and experience with the younger generation. It is a beautiful expression of discipleship, fostering growth and godliness in the lives of younger women. Reflection:  Older women have a wealth of knowledge and life experience that can greatly benefit younger women. By mentoring, they can provide guidance, support, and encouragement, helping younger women navigate the challenges of life and faith. This relationship is mutually enriching, as it allows older women to fulfill their God-given role of teachin...

What I'm Enjoying in March

Happy Spring ! Winter is over and spring is here. I really enjoy beautiful Spring-time weather. This is my favorite time of the year with Easter (the Lord's resurrection day) just around the corner too. It's already the end of March but I thought I would share a few things that I've been enjoying recently. Sense & Sensibility  by Jane Austen Pride and Prejudice was my favorite Jane Austen book for many years, however, in recent years I have grown more fond of Sense and Sensibility . I was very much like Marianne when I was younger ... very emotional and believing that true love should be something extravagant or over the top passionate. But, I married a man who is more like Colonial Brandon... a little older than me (10 years actually), and who is sensible, quiet and reserved. I'm thankful for that. So, I really enjoy this book. I have the Puffin in Bloom collectors edition version of it that I've been reading and I really love these smaller sized books with t...

Devotional | The Joy of Being a Homemaker

As Christian women, we are called to find joy and purpose in the roles God has given us. Homemaking is a beautiful and fulfilling ministry that allows us to reflect God’s love and care within our homes. Let’s explore the joy of being a homemaker through the lens of Scripture. Scripture Reading:   “She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.”  (Proverbs 31:27, KJV) Devotional:  In today’s fast-paced world, the role of a homemaker is often undervalued. Yet, the Bible speaks highly of the woman who diligently cares for her home and family. Proverbs 31 paints a picture of a woman who is industrious, wise, and loving. She finds joy in her work because she knows it is pleasing to the Lord. As homemakers, we have the unique opportunity to create a sanctuary of peace and love. Our homes can be a reflection of God’s kingdom, where kindness, patience, and grace abound. Each task, whether it is cooking a meal, cleaning a room, or tending t...

Devotional | The Joys of Parenting

Parenting is a divine calling that brings immense joy and fulfillment. As Christian women, we are blessed with the opportunity to nurture and guide our children in the ways of the Lord. Let’s delve into the joys of parenting through the wisdom of Scripture. Scripture Reading:  “Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” (Psalm 127:3, KJV) The Bible reminds us that children are a precious gift from God. Each child is a unique blessing, entrusted to us to love, teach, and cherish. The joy of parenting can also come from seeing our children grow in faith, character, and wisdom. It is a journey filled with moments of laughter, learning, and love. Proverbs 22:6 encourages us to  “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”  This verse highlights the importance of our role in shaping our children’s spiritual and moral foundation. The seeds we plant today will bear fruit in their lives f...
