Devotional | The Gift of Mentoring Women on Biblical Womanhood

Scripture
Titus 2:3-5 KJB “The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed."

Mentorship is a powerful way for older Christian women to share their wisdom and experience with the younger generation. It is a beautiful expression of discipleship, fostering growth and godliness in the lives of younger women.

Reflection: Older women have a wealth of knowledge and life experience that can greatly benefit younger women. By mentoring, they can provide guidance, support, and encouragement, helping younger women navigate the challenges of life and faith. This relationship is mutually enriching, as it allows older women to fulfill their God-given role of teaching and nurturing, while younger women gain valuable insights and a deeper understanding of their faith.

Prayer: Father God, thank You for the gift of mentorship. Help me to be a source of wisdom and encouragement to the younger women in my life. Give me the grace to share my experiences with humility and love, and to guide them in their walk with You. May our relationships be a reflection of Your love and grace, and may we grow together in faith and godliness. In Christ's name, Amen.

Action Step: If you are an older woman, consider reaching out to a younger woman in your church or community. Offer to meet regularly for coffee or a walk, and use this time to share your experiences and listen to her concerns. You could also mentor women over the phone who live far away. Another great thing is to write blogs, articles, create podcasts or videos that can encourage younger Christian Women in homemaking and in Christian Marriage and parenting.

If you are a younger woman, seek out an older woman whose faith and life you admire, and ask if she would be willing to mentor you. Together, you can build a relationship that honors God and strengthens your faith.
I hope this devotional encourages you to embrace the gift of mentorship.

The Spiritual Source of Smartphone Addiction

When it comes to understanding the spiritual nature of our smartphone addiction, we need to first of all understand that Satan is the “god of this world” today. He is also known as the “prince of the power of the air” (think not just heavenly places but also airwaves, wifi etc!). Satan is a master deceiver. Though the internet, social media and our smartphones can be used in productive ways to help spread the gospel, it can definitely also be used in unproductive and even harmful ways. “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” - 2 Cor 4:4 “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:’ - Eph 2:2 Satan will use several things to try to wreck our spiritual lives including: Constant Distraction At its core, smartphone add...

    Getting Ready for Autumn

Getting Ready for Autumn Hello dear Sisters in Christ, Today I decorated my house for Autumn. I know it's not officially Autumn yet, but I look forward to this time of the year especially after long hot summers here in Southern Nevada.  I also wore autumn colors today. A Claret colored floral top and a long brown skirt. My planner - time to plan for September! I wanted to share a Picture of a cute doll my husband bought me earlier in the year- he saw it when shopping and said it looked like me! Haha so he bought it. I told him I would wear a similar outfit lol! This little bear came with the doll I recently watched a few films - one was Out of Africa. It's one of my favorites. Starring Meryl Streep and Robert Redford. The cinematography and soundtrack are amazing. It inspired me to wear this outfit ... I was inspired by this outfit below and I realize it's not quite the same lol, but I did my best with what I have.  More outfits from the film.  The real Karen Blixen that ...
