Getting Ready for Autumn

Getting Ready for Autumn

Hello dear Sisters in Christ,

Today I decorated my house for Autumn. I know it's not officially Autumn yet, but I look forward to this time of the year especially after long hot summers here in Southern Nevada.

I also wore autumn colors today. A Claret colored floral top and a long brown skirt.

My planner - time to plan for September!

I wanted to share a Picture of a cute doll my husband bought me earlier in the year- he saw it when shopping and said it looked like me! Haha so he bought it. I told him I would wear a similar outfit lol!

This little bear came with the doll

I recently watched a few films - one was Out of Africa. It's one of my favorites. Starring Meryl Streep and Robert Redford. The cinematography and soundtrack are amazing. It inspired me to wear this outfit ...

I was inspired by this outfit below and I realize it's not quite the same lol, but I did my best with what I have.

More outfits from the film.

The real Karen Blixen that the film was based upon.

I also watched a movie called Shadow on the Sun starring Stephanie Powers (from the old Tv show "Hart to Hart"). It's a film about Beryl Markham who lived in the same area in Africa as Karen Blixen and they knew each other and had some of the same friends. I didn't know about Beryls life story so I was surprised to learn that she was the first person to ever fly an airplane across the Atlantic Ocean! It was certainly a very different time from today. I watched the film on the "Tubi" app.

The real Beryl Markham

In the film Out of Africa they have a character named "Felicity" but it was actually based on Beryl Markham. I think maybe they didn't use her real name because when the film came out in the 1980s, Beryl was still alive (though very old)!

Anyways, besides that I've been working on writing another book and I'm creating some coloring books to sell too on Amazon! They will be Grace themed and for Homemakers too! I'm enjoying creating them, it's fun!

I also created my first song!

You can listen to it below. I woke up from a nap and in my dream I had made a song with these lyrics so I asked my husband to help me create it using AI music generator and it turned out really well! That was fun too. It's freely available to listen to on my YouTube shorts. I might make more in the future.

In His Grace,
Mrs. Adrienne Jason

    Modesty Makeover

After I began studying 1st Corinthians chapter 11 for my own personal Bible studies as well as for upcoming studies on my podcast and YouTube channel, I had a real change of heart regarding several topics. Including headship, (a woman's role not only at home but in the church and in society), headcoverings and regarding modesty.  I suddenly realized that I was giving too much attention to the fashions of this world. I also realized that I was making up my own modesty rules or comparing myself with current modesty standards in the world and even in Christendom instead of simply turning to God's word for answers to these issues. I began to read and study regarding this topic and was surprised to realize just how many people today go around practically naked in God's eyes.  Nakedness is not just being totally nude. It's revealing certain parts of the body that God wants us to cover. The Apostle Paul said that at certain times they had been naked because of the sufferings ...

    Finding Joy in Simplicity

Finding Joy in Simplicity: Lessons from “ Little House on the Prairie ” and the Bible In today’s world, financial struggles can often feel overwhelming, but Christian women can find true happiness and contentment even in the midst of financial hardship. By drawing inspiration from the Bible and the beloved series “ Little House on the Prairie ,” we can discover how to cultivate joy and peace regardless of our economic circumstances. Biblical Foundations of Contentment The Bible offers profound wisdom on finding contentment and joy, irrespective of material wealth. One of the most powerful verses on this topic is found in Philippians 4:11-13, where Paul writes, “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content . I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which ...
