Keeping a Clean and Organized Kitchen

As a Christian homemaker, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen is not just about keeping things tidy; it’s about creating a welcoming and peaceful environment for your family and guests. Here are some practical tips to help you achieve a well-organized kitchen that reflects your values of faith, family, and hospitality. 1. Start with a Plan Begin by assessing your kitchen space and identifying areas that need improvement. Create a cleaning schedule that fits your daily routine. Proverbs 31:27 reminds us, “ She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness ."  A plan helps you stay on top of tasks and ensures your kitchen remains a pleasant place. 2. Declutter Regularly Remove items that you no longer use or need. Donate or dispose of excess utensils, gadgets, and appliances. A clutter-free kitchen not only looks better but also makes it easier to find what you need. Remember, simplicity can be a form of stewardship. 3. Organize ...

Embracing Modesty with Grace

Scripture:   1 Timothy 2:9-10 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;  But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. In a world that often values outward appearance, trendiness, the latest fashions, expensive clothing and jewelry, and immodesty over inner natural feminine beauty and modesty, the call to modesty can feel countercultural. Yet, as Christian women, we are invited to reflect Christ’s humility and grace through our choices, including how we dress. Reflection:  Modesty is an important issue regarding our appearance but it is  not only about the clothes we wear but also about the attitude of our hearts. It is an expression of our respect for God, His word, His will, ourselves, and others. When we choose modesty, we are choosing to honor God with our bodies and to reflect His love and purity. This doesn’t mean we can’...

Are you open to reproof and correction?

I love to teach and talk about grace and faith. However, it's important to also teach and talk about reproof and correction. Much of Paul's epistles are focused on all of these things. Romans is primarily about grace and faith.   1st Corinthians is primarily a reproof for a carnal church. Galatians is a doctrinal correction . Ephesians- is advanced understanding of grace and faith in our dispensation.  Philippians is reproof in behavior to live joyfully even amidst suffering. Colossians is more doctrinal correction . Etc.  I ask myself sometimes if I'm open to receive reproof and correction. Over the last year that's certainly been the case. I am still learning and maturing spiritually through the word so I'm sure there will still be plenty of reproof and correction for me in the future! How about you? Are you open to reproof and correction? If we are not open to reproof and correction from God's word we won't grow. We will not be like a tree plan...
