1 Cor 1:10 | Verse-by-verse Bible Study

1 Corinthians 1:10 KJB Father God, thank you for this time that we have to read and study your word rightly divided. Please help us to learn how believers can "be of the same mind" and "speak the same thing" and that there be no divisions among us by us rightly dividing the word of truth. In Jesus's name we pray, Amen.  1 Corinthians 1:10 10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. This is such an important Bible verse. In Christendom today, the denominations (and evangelicals and fundamentalists) do NOT all speak the same thing and there are all kinds of divisions! There are over 28,000 "Christian" denominations! They can't even agree on the most basic and fundamental doctrines like justification and eternal security. The primary reasons for this are because they  ...

Baptism in the Bible part one | Romans 6 Bible Study

Father God, thank you that we can spend time together reading and studying your holy word. Lord I pray for all listening to this study to gently and sincerely consider the things that we will be talking about regarding baptism today and baptism throughout the Bible. I know, dear Lord, that this is a difficult subject for many, but may we put aside the traditions of men and simply see what your word rightly divided has to say on this subject. In Christ's name we pray, amen.  Baptism in the Bible part one Romans chapter six talks about baptism, so let's study this topic before we dive into this chapter verse by verse. I will do my best in these studies to teach on baptism, but I do recommend studying out this topic more for yourself. It can be a good side study. Also, I will include links to some articles and videos by other Grace believers that teach on this topic as well, if you are interested in learning more. Baptism is a very controversial issue within Christendom. Many deno...

Having Peace and Joy | Careful for Nothing Devotional

Having Peace and Joy Phl 4:6 KJV -  6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. In this world we will have troubles. These troubles can cause us stress, fear, anxiety, worry and depression.  However, as believers, we have God's Spirit living in our spirit and we have his word to help us through the difficult times in life. It is inevitable that even as believers we will go through various kinds of troubles and suffering. We suffer because  • We live in a fallen, sin cursed world.  • We sometimes make mistakes and have to suffer the consequences of them.  • Others around us make mistakes that we sometimes are victims of. But we also have the sufferings of Christ as believers. These include:  • Suffering because we share the gospel with others and not all will choose to believe it and some may even be contentious about it. • Suffering when we share sound grace do...

God's Timeline | Rightly Dividing Basics

God's Timeline  There are 3 main divisions in the Bible. Prophecy, mystery and prophecy, and also referred to as "time past," "but now", and "ages to come."  🌍 EARTHLY PROGRAM | Times past and ages to come have to do with God's "signs and wonders" (prophetic) program with Israel. They were also under law in times past and will be in ages to come as well, though they are saved by grace through faith PLUS works of faith (they cannot take the mark of the beast or worship the image of the beast during the tribulation period for example). God made a law-covenant with Israel in Exodus. It's important to understand however that they couldn't be saved by keeping the law. They still needed to recognize their sin nature and trust in God to save them. Then, they could keep the law covenant as works of faith. God wanted them to be a peculiar people, which meant being very different from the predominantly unbelieving gentile world around them...

Grace Frees Us To Serve God | Romans Ch 6 Bible Study

Father God, thank you that we can now begin to learn in Romans 6-8 about walking in the Spirit instead of after the flesh so that we can allow Christ to live in and through us as believers. In Jesus's name we pray, amen.  In Romans chapters 6-8 we are going to be learning about how God's amazing grace actually frees us, as believers, to serve the living God. We will learn about how, as believers we still have the sin nature in our flesh but that we are to reckon it to be dead and to instead walk in the Spirit. God's Spirit lives inside of every believer. We also have the mind of Christ as we read, study and believe God's word rightly divided. The sin nature is still in our flesh but it is like a chicken with its head cut off, dead but still temporarily running around. This is only temporary until the rapture when the Lord Jesus Christ gives us new glorified bodies. So, the flesh wars against our spirit while we are here on earth, but we have God's Spirit in us and h...

True Freedom in Christ | Grace Devotional

Unbelievers imagine that they are free without God. But, they are enslaved to sin, religion and death.  Rom 5:12 KJV -  12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:  Christ died for our sins so that we could have eternal life in Christ.  Rom 5:6 KJV -  6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. Rom 8:2 KJV -  2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Rom 6:23 KJV -  23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. His death also gives us freedom from the sin nature in that it no longer has absolute power over us. We can now choose to walk in the Spirit instead of after the flesh. Before, all we could do was sin because our sin nature was fully alive and our s...

The Revelation of the Mystery

** this study is the same as my study on "the mystery" in my Salvation Basics series, but with some more details added in .** The dispensation of grace is also known as the mystery program. A mystery is a secret, something that is or was kept secret.  Romans 16:25-26 says, 25¶Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, 26But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: Our dispensation of grace was a SECRET kept hid in God until it was revealed first to Paul. It is no longer a secret since it was revealed but it is referred to as "the mystery" because it had previously been a secret. Satan is blinding most people from knowing anything about it!  Ephesians 3:1-11 says, For this cause I Paul, the pri...

1 Corinthians 1:4-7 | Paul's Prayer | Verse by Verse Bible Study

1st Corinthians 1:4-7 (Paul's prayer) Thank you Father God for this time that we have to spend together to read and study your word rightly divided, in particular today this book of 1st Corinthians and learning more about how we as believers in the dispensation of grace ought to pray. Thank you, Lord. In Jesus's name we pray amen .  Verses 4-8 is Paul's prayer for the Corinthian believers. We should always pay attention to Paul's prayers as they teach us how we, as believers today in the dispensation of grace, ought to pray. If you notice, Paul prays about spiritual matters. Though we don't have sign gifts today, we can still pray in the same fashion but more based on what God is doing since the sign gifts ceased- such as praying for a believers edification, or that they be comforted by the scriptures etc. 4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; 5 That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, a...
