Is it Legalistic to be KJB only? | Women's Grace Devotional

Is it Legalistic to be King James Bible only? I am personally King James Bible only and I teach all of my online bible studies with a King James Bible.  I have peace of mind knowing that I have a Bible version that I can completely trust, that is without error. I also find comfort in knowing that God keeps His word in promising to preserve the scriptures without error. I trust every word in the King James Bible.  Psalm 12:6-7 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. That being said, is it legalistic to be King James Bible only? No. It's not. Although there ARE legalistic groups and cult-groups that are King James Bible, but being KJB only does NOT make you a legalist. It also certainly doesn't mean that you are in a cult!  You might not have the same convictions regarding Bible versions. I do recommend studying out the t...

"Discernment Ministries" | Newage to Grace Believer

Regarding "Discernment Ministries" and Obsessing Over Evil  After leaving the newage, you will suddenly become aware of how much evil is in the world and of many of the deceptions, false teachings and lies in the world as well. Satan is the "god of this world " and he has a course for this world.  Ephesians 2:2-3 KJB "Wherein in time past [before you believed the Gospel and were saved] ye walked according to the course of this world [ALL unbelievers walk according to the course of this world, not just people caught up in newage teachings], according to the prince of the power of the air [Satan], the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: [Satan's spirit literally works in and through ALL unbelievers] Among whom also we all had our conversation [our thinking and actions were in alignment with Satan's course for this world] in times past [before we believed the Gospel in which we now have God's Spirit living in us] in the lusts of ou...

What Are We Saved From?

Saved from what? In order for anyone to be saved today in the dispensation of the grace of God, we are to recognize first of all that we are sinners and cannot save ourselves. Then, we are to simply believe how that Christ Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again for our justification (see 1 Cor 15:1-4). The moment that you believe that gospel, you are saved! But, what exactly are we saved from? In this study we will learn that we are saved from several things. I'll be using some scriptures to explain this, however there are many more verses that can also support this study but to keep it simple and short, I'll just include a few verses for each thing that we are saved from. 1) Eternal death, judgment and punishment  2) Satan's kingdom  3) God's coming wrath on the world 4) Condemnation and law-keeping  5) Sin and the Flesh 6) Religion and false doctrines  7) Meaninglessness  8) Eventually, all forms of suffering (after the rapture) ✝️ Saved from etern...

Romans 2: 5-11 | Women's Bible Study

Father God, thank you for this time that we can spend reading and studying your Holy Word. Thank you for teaching us in this section about your righteous judgment. In Jesus's name, amen. Today we are continuing to discuss verses 5-11. 5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; 6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds: 7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: 8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, 9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: 11 For there is no respect of persons with God. Again, in verse 5 we learned tha...

People Pleasing | Women's Grace Devotional Study

People Pleasing "The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe." Proverbs 29:25 Pleasing man is a never-ending struggle which no one can ever achieve.  Gal 1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. This is primarily in the context of not moving away from the grace message. But can also be applied to other areas of our life too. Living our lives to please men, rather than God, can lead to burnout, anxiety and depression.  In the area of sharing sound grace doctrine, as believers if we wanted approval from more people, we would no longer talk about the grace message. If we wanted the approval of man, we'd join a denomination, start keeping religious practices like lent or Sabbath keeping and try to fit in more instead of sharing the Gospel of the grace of God and teaching sound grace doctrine and allowing Christ to live in and through us....

Toxic Positivity in the New Age |

Toxic Positivity in the New Age In the newage movement, you are basically taught to just "think positive" all of the time. This can actually become psychologically damaging because it leads into toxic positivity which is denying any "negative" emotions or experiences and not seeing the world as it actually is. Toxic positivity is " the belief that no matter how dire or difficult a situation is, people should maintain a positive mindset . While there are benefits to being optimistic and engaging in positive thinking, toxic positivity rejects all difficult emotions in favor of a cheerful and often falsely-positive façade. Toxic positivity is an obsession with positive thinking . It is the belief that people should put a positive spin on all experiences, even those that are profoundly tragic. Toxic positivity can silence negative emotions, demean grief, and make people feel under pressure to pretend to be happy even when they are struggling." ( https://www.me...

The Principles of God's judgment | Romans Ch 2 Bible Study

Father God, thank you for this time that we can spend reading and studying your Holy Word. Thank you for teaching us in this section about the principles of your righteous judgment. In Jesus's name, amen.  The Principles of God's judgment Today we will be discussing verses 5-11 of Romans chapter 2, as well as talking about the principles of God's judgment. As mentioned before, verses 1-11 are a section. This section specifically is about God's righteous judgment. In a previous episode I had talked also about God's Judgments, specifically regarding the tribulation period, the great white throne judgment, etc.  In verse two we learn that God will judge according to truth. "But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things." In verse 5 we learn that there are degrees of punishment.  "But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of th...
