Thankful for Our Spiritual Blessings

Believers ought to be Thankful for our Spiritual Blessings in Christ Jesus  Ephesians 1:3 in the KJB says, " Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: " This is an incredible thing! God has taken ungodly sinners, saved them by His grace (those that choose to believe the gospel of the grace of God), and given them ALL spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus. Not just a few blessings but ALL. Not only that, but once we are saved we don't have to beg for these blessings or try to earn them - they are FREELY given to us by His grace from the very MOMENT that we believe the gospel and we can never loose these blessings! Ephesians 2:4-7 in the KJB says, " But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heav...

Man is Without Excuse | Romans 1 Bible Study

Man is Without Excuse  Romans 1 verses 20 and 21 in the KJB says, " For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened ." These verses are saying that whether you have actually heard the gospel or not, you are still without excuse if you choose to not BELEIVE God. Each person has an internal witness that tells them that God exists. Not only that but that inner witness even tells us that God is all-powerful for eternity, has every right to judge us and is a triune Godhead! Plus, there's also all of creation that speaks of God's existence. God has actually given us this inner witness, but man rejects it. If they listened to the inner witness, they would realize that ...

God Gave Them Up | Romans 1 Bible Study

God gave up the gentile nations  In Romans chapter 1 verse 28 it says, " And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient ;" God gives man over to his own sinful mind. There's nothing more that God can do. God made a provision for our salvation through Christ and all we have to do is believe it, but most people refuse to believe it. They want to try to save themselves and be their own God. God has also sent out ambassadors for Christ to preach the Gospel (those who have believed the Gospel), but they are often ridiculed or ignored, and the Christians who actually do share a pure grace message are also very rare. Satan's policy of evil, his lie program, (sharing and teaching false gospels) is hard at work against Grace Believers.  In times past, before the dispensation of grace, God had given up the Gentile Nations because of their wickedness, rebelliousness, abominations...

Thankful for Our Salvation

Thankful for Our Salvation  Romans 5:6 KJB says, " For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly." Well, who were the ungodly? Everyone! Before we believed the Gospel of our salvation, we were the ungodly. Nothing we did, even our socalled "good works" was profitable for God. In fact, we were at enmity with God.  Romans 5 verse 10 says, " For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life." God gave up His dearly beloved Son to save us. Christ died for our sins, was buried and then was risen from the grave so that we could have NEW ETERNAL LIFE with Him. Let's read all of Romans 5:6-11 KJB 6  For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, whil...

Apostle Paul's Prayer

It's also important to discuss Paul's sincere love for the Saints.  This love comes from Christ Jesus living in and through him. The grace of God teaches us how to love others, and enables us to feel love for others more especially fellow believers and to act loving towards one another through acts of kindness, forgiveness, charity, grace, etc.  Romans 1: 8-9 says, " First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;" Paul prayed often for the Believers. In Verse 10 he goes on to say, " Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you ." He would consider it to be prosperous if they are able to be edified more in sound grace doctrine. One of the most important prayers we can pray is for fello...

Thankful | For God and His Goodness

Thankfulness Series | Being Thankful for God and His Goodness  As believers we really have so much to be thankful for including our salvation, what God has done for us including Jesus's finished work on the cross, our new identity in Christ, our spiritual blessings in Christ and many other things.  Today let's discuss how believers ought to be thankful for God and His goodness. Gods greatness and goodness resides in his character and in his actions. For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods. – Psalm 135:5 The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. Nahum 1:7 The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works. - Psalm 145:17 God is so good that He loves even His own enemies and died for them: Romans 5: 6-8 KJB " For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for...

Paul, Our Appointed Apostle

Paul Raised Up to Be An Apostle  **Note : We will be doing a verse by verse study in Romans after these overviews of the main themes in Romans Chapter 1.** It's important to again emphasize that Paul is our Apostle for the dispensation of grace. Romans 1: 5 and 6 says, " By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name: Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ: "  Before Jesus saved Paul, the Apostle Paul (called Saul at the time) was a blasphemer and a persecutor of the early believers. He was a religious zealot who believed he was doing the will of God. In 1 Timothy 1: 12- 16 Paul says, " And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love whi...
