Why Rightly Divide? 5. For Peace of Mind and Hope

Rightly divided bible study brings us peace of mind and hope . We understand, through rightly divided bible study, that we are  • Saved from hell • Delivered from the wrath to come (the 7 year tribulation on the earth) • Our suffering isn't for nothing  • We have a blessed hope   • We can serve God and earn rewards for heaven  • We know without a doubt that we have eternal life! • We look forward to the many wonderful things to come  Let's look at some verses regarding each of these things.  • Saved from hell and delivered from the wrath to come (the 7 year tribulation on the earth). Without rightly dividing the scriptures, you might believe that you have to do works to be saved or in order to maintain your salvation or that you will go through the tribulation period. Thankfully, with rightly divided bible study we learn that we are saved by grace through faith alone PLUS NOTHING, that we cannot loose our salvation and that we will be raptured out befo...

Justification | Romans Ch 4| Women's Rightly Divided Bible Study

Father God, thank you so much for teaching us in today's Bible study about justification, and that when we believe the gospel we are forgiven all past, present and future sin. We are so thankful. In Jesus's name we pray amen.  JUSTIFICATION In Romans chapter 4, we will learn more about JUSTIFICATION.  Justification means that as believers we are completely forgiven of ALL past, present and future sin because of the faith of Christ. We are justified when we place our faith in Christ's faithfulness to go to the cross, and he was buried and he rose again. As believers, we are not just pardoned. Rather, every sin from our past, present and future was dealt with at the cross and we are forgiven completely from the moment we believed the gospel. We are also now completely righteous in God's eyes, and we have been placed into Christ. We are identified with Christ. We are now considered just as righteous as the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, now and for all of eternity, from the m...

Homemaker and Culture Wars | Biblical Womanhood and Homemaking Encouragement

Homemaker, are you fighting a loosing battle? Popular today among some of those in the Christian homemaking community, is to fight the current culture nonstop. Please hear me out with what I'm about to say. First of all, as believers we are not to just go along with the current ungodly agendas or any part of Satan's course for this world. It should grieve us. We are to be keepers at home so that we can guard our own families from false doctrines, ungodly agendas and immoral lifestyle choices to the best of our ability. This might require homeschooling and other similar choices as well. But we must keep in mind that our children also have to choose for themselves whether or not to believe the gospel of the grace of God and then whether or not to read, study, believe and obey God's word as well. 1 Tim 5:14 “I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.” That being said, we cannot ...

Pray Without Ceasing | Women's Weekly Devotional

Pray without ceasing  1 Thessalonians 5:17 in the KJB says, “Pray without ceasing.” How do we, as believers, pray without ceasing? Prayer is essentially a believer speaking to God in light of God's Word to us. Even just thinking over, or meditating upon, God's word is us having conversation with the Lord since His Spirit lives in our spirit. To pray without ceasing is to continually keep God and His word on our minds. How do we do this? By daily reading and studying God's Word rightly divided. The more sound grace doctrine we have built up in our inner man, the more often we will think over the verses and then the more that we will live according to God's will for us today. When we have decisions to make, we will think over the verses and then decide for ourselves what is the best decision based upon our understanding of God's word. We will even talk to God about it, talking about the verses. Anytime that we have difficulty, stress, persecution or suffering we can a...

Having a meek and quiet spirit

Having a Meek and Quiet Spirit  1 Peter 3:3-4 KJB 3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; 4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. Having a meek and quiet spirit as Christian women is something that we learn as we get sound doctrine built up in our inner man.  First of all, being meek and quiet isn't just for women! There are several verses that tell men and women to be meek and to be quiet.  Titus 3:2 - To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men. Colossians 3:12 12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Ephesians 4:2 2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one anothe...

Why Rightly Divide? 4. To Walk Worthy of the Lord

You cannot walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing if you do not rightly divide. You must rightly divide the scriptures in order to know  • The gospel that saves today  • God's will for us today  • Our identity in Christ  Once you understand the basics, as taught to us in the foundational doctrines in Romans as well as more advanced doctrine all throughout the Pauline epistles, then you can walk correctly as a believer.  Colossians 1:10 says, “That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;” If you are preaching the wrong gospel, you are NOT "walking worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing," but are actually helping Satan with his policy of evil! What is Satan's policy of evil? When the Lord Jesus Christ saved Saul of Tarsus (the apostle Paul) it completely took Satan by surprise. Paul was Satan's top man, he was like an anti-christ in a way who was persecuting the early Je...

Romans 4 - Abraham's Faith | Women's Rightly Divided Bible Study

Father God, thank you so much for teaching us in today's Bible study about justification and how Abraham simply believed you and his faith was counted unto him for righteousness. We are so thankful. In Jesus's name we pray amen.  Abraham's Faith To help us understand Abraham's faith that will be mentioned in Romans chapter 4, let's read about it specifically in Genesis. Genesis 15:1-6 in the KJB says, 1 After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. 2 And Abram said, Lord God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus? 3 And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir. 4 And, behold, the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir. 5...

The God of all Comfort | Women's Weekly Devotional

The God of all Comfort  2 Cor 1:3-5 KJB 3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. As believers who believe God's word rightly divided and choose (more often than not) to live godly, we suffer. We suffer when we share the gospel with others and some of them choose to reject it. We want them saved but they refuse to believe and so our hearts ache for them. We suffer when we share sound doctrine with other believers who have not yet come unto the knowledge of the truth, (understanding God's word rightly divided and them at least being established in foundational grace doctrines) but some of them reject it and continue to live in legalistic teaching...

Unbelieving Husbands

Unbelieving Husbands One of the most difficult things for a godly Christian woman is to have a husband who is either an unbeliever or even who is a carnally-minded believer (someone who believes the gospel unto salvation but either has no interest in Bible study). It is difficult because it puts far more pressure on the wife and mother to have to be the spiritual head of the family (which is out of God's order of creation). Even if you don't have children, being with someone who is an unbeliever or carnally minded believer will still be difficult at times. You will also have different world views. You will more than likely have different opinions on a variety of issues like how to raise your children and your children's education and even seeing things differently regarding finances, politics, science, entertainment, world history, etc and have some different moral values as well. That being so, a Christian woman is still to be submissive unto her own husband . As I had tal...

Why Rightly Divide? 3. To Understand Our Identity in Christ

When we rightly divide the word of truth, then we also come to understand our identity in Christ. Once we know what the gospel is that saves today (1 Cor 15:1-5) and have believed it, and we understand that we are not in Israel's program and that we are not "spiritual Israel," we can now fully understand who we are in Christ individually as well as who we are corporately as the "one new man", the Church the Body of Christ. Our identity in Christ includes us being • A new creature in Christ Jesus (2 Cor 5:17) • A member of Christ's body, made up of other members with Christ as our head (1 Cor 12:27) • Completely identified with Christ (Phil 3:9) • Dead to sin/the flesh (Rom 6:11) • Dead to the law/religion (Col 2:13-14) • An ambassador for Christ with the ministry of reconciliation (2 Cor 5:18; 20) • Seated with Christ in the Heavenly places (Eph 2:6) • Accepted in God's Beloved (Eph 1:6) • Completely forgiven (Col 2:13) • Complete in Christ (C...

Romans 3 Conclusion | Women's Rightly Divided Bible Study

So far in Romans chapters 1-3 we have learned that Gentiles, Jews and all people are under sin. Religious people are under sin. Newagers are under sin. Athiests are under sin. Buddhists are under sin. Legalistic "Christians" that have never actually believed the gospel of the grace of God without works (and are therefore not really Christians though they might profess to be) are under sin. Any person, regardless of their religious or secular beliefs, whether they are Jew or Gentile are under sin if they have never trusted in Christ's death, burial and resurrection as atonement for their sins.  This literally means that the world is full of spiritually dead people! Their FLESH is fully alive, and all that an unbeliever can do is sin. Before salvation, we (believers) were also under sin and spiritually dead in our trespasses and sins.  Then there are the few true believers in the world. Even if millions of people are really saved, it's a small percentage compared to the...
