Children of Light and Children of the Day | Blessed Hope Bible study

Children of Light and Children of the Day 1 Thess 5:5 5 Ye are all the children of light [believers saved during the dispensation of grace], and the children of the day [we belong to the Lord and have been delivered from Satan's kingdom]: we are not of the night [the tribulation period], nor of darkness [Satans kingdom]. This is such a comforting verse. What this means is that as believers in the dispensation of grace we are not subject to God's coming wrath upon the earth.  Today, in the dispensation of grace, God is extending grace and peace. Eph 1:2 KJV -  2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Col 1:2 KJV -  2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 1Th 1:1 KJV -  1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in...

1 Corinthians 1:22 | Verse by verse Bible study

Father God, thank you for this time that we can spend together reading and studying your holy word. Lord, I pray that we will come to understand that we are not to look for signs today in the dispensation of grace, nor are we to seek after worldly wisdom, but rather that we will desire to mature spiritually through your holy word rightly divided. In Christ's name we pray, amen.  1 Corinthians 1:22 | Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: The Jewish nation seeks for signs from God, mostly because they have had many signs in the past (the parting of the red sea for example) because of God's covenant with them (and they have many prophecies yet to be fulfilled in the ages to come). In Exodus 34:10 it says,  10 And he [God] said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which ...

Abundant Living for the Homemaker | Bible Study for Women

Abundant Living for the Homemaker  1Ti 1:14 KJB  14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. Jhn 6:35 KJB  35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. John 10:10 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I would like to talk about abundant living for the homemaker. By "abundant living", I do not mean financially abundant, but abundant in peace, joy and hope.  Begin with the Lord  Truly abundant living begins by being "in Christ". Without the Lord Jesus Christ, we are lacking in our greatest need which is to be made spiritually alive in Christ Jesus. All unbelievers are spiritually dead in their trespasses and sins. Without the life of Christ in them, they are on their way to the...

Romans 6:8-11 | Verse by Verse Rightly Divided Bible Study

Romans 6:8-11 Father God, thank you so much for this time that we can spend reading and studying your holy word rightly divided. Thank you for teaching us that we are dead to sin and alive unto God. Thank you for preserving your word perfectly for us today (in the English language it is the KJB) so that we can read and study it, keeping our minds renewed. I am thankful to have a bible, the King James Bible that is without any errors at all! In Christs name we pray, amen.  8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Now that we understand that our old man has died, it's important to also understand that we are spiritually alive in Christ. It is His life in us, from the moment that we believed the Gospel, that makes us spiritually alive in him. It is also his word rightly divided in us, when we read, study and yeild ourselves over to obey it, that keeps our minds renewed so that Christ can live in and through us.  9 Knowing that Christ being rai...

Letting the Past Go | Careful for Nothing Devotional

Letting the Past Go As believers, we have been completely forgiven of all past, present and future sin. Col 2:13 KJB  13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Our old sin nature has died, we are a new creature in Christ, complete in Him and accepted completely by God.  Romans 6:8 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 2Co 5:17 KJB  17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Col 2:10 KJB  10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: Eph 1:6 KJB  6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. We can thus let our past go. Whatever bad things were done to us, we can let it go by forgiving others and leaving vengeance in God's r...

Why do some believers reject the pre-tribulation rapture? | Our Blessed Hope Bible Study

Why do some believers reject the pre-tribulation rapture? First of all, unbelievers laugh at and mock the idea of a rapture. Yet some of these same people might believe in alien abductions, alternative universes, and other such things! They don't want to admit that they are sinners and that God's wrath on a predominantly unbelieving world is coming. But even some believers don't want to admit to just how vile man's flesh is and how that judgment is going to come upon unbelievers. They want to believe that God never has righteous anger or that he will righteously judge all people! Many of these same people reject the believers judgment seat of Christ as well in which believers are judged on the sound doctrine in our inner man (or lack thereof) that we have believed and obeyed. They want to talk themselves into walking after the flesh instead of in the Spirit, so they reject the teachings about the judgment seat of Christ.  Universalists want to believe that everyone is s...

God's wisdom is far greater | 1 Cor 1:19-21 Bible Study

1 Corinthians 1:19-21 | God's wisdom is far greater! 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. To begin with, this verse starts by saying "For it is written". Paul is referring to Isaiah 29:14 which says,  "Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid." Man thinks that with his religion, philosophy, science, art, music, technology, fashion trends, etc that they are so wise. In their "wisdom" they also most often reject God. Not only that, but they use their wisdom to preach against God. This even happens in Christendom. They might talk about Jesus, but it's usually not the Lord Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery. They might talk about "the spirit", but its usually not the...
