Abstain from all appearance of evil In the King James Bible there is a verse that very simply says, "Abstain from all appearance of evil." It is in 1 Thessalonians chapter 5 verse 22. 1st and 2nd Thessalonians is about our blessed hope. Our blessed hope includes that as believers, we are saved from the wrath to come which is the 7 year tribulation on the earth. Believers in the dispensation of grace will be raptured out before the tribulation begins. Our blessed hope also includes our receiving our glorified bodies, being taken to the heavenly places which is a believers true home, our receiving of possible rewards in heaven, and being given our new heavenly careers. Ephesians 5:17  -  Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. What is God's will for women? First of all, God's will for ALL people is that they be saved and come unto the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2 verse 4in the KJB says, " Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. " God wants all people to be saved but of course each person has a free will and must choose for themselves whether or not to believe the gospel. "Wise unto good" and "Simple concerning evil" Romans 16:19 KJV For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. Sheep or More than Conquerors through Christ? Romans 8:38 - Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. God loved us and wanted us to be saved. God wants for ALL people to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. Christ Jesus died for the ungodly, which is all people before they get saved. Because of what Christ did for us through His death, burial and resurrection as atonement for our sins, believers are now more than conquerors through Christ Jesus. This means that regardless of our sufferings in this life, we still have the victory in Christ Jesus! We now have eternal life in Him and this can NEVER be taken away from us. Guide the House 1 Timothy 5:14 in the KJB says, I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. What does it mean for women to "guide the house" and to "give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully"? Guiding the House Guide means "To lead or direct in a  way; to conduct in a course or path; To influence; to give direction to; To instruct and direct; to regulate and manage; to superintend; A person who leads or directs another in his way or course; One who directs another in his conduct or course of life;" Basically, women are to do "the work of the ministry" (Eph 4:12 "For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:") by guiding their own homes first and foremost. If God's will is for us to rightly divide the scriptures, and its clearly stated in 2 Timothy 2:15 in the KJB for us to do so, then why do so many NOT rightly divide? • Modern Translations  One reason very simply is because the modern Bible versions change the meaning of 2 Timothy 2:15. Many versions say that we are to "rightly handle" the scriptures. Although that's certainly true, that's NOT the full truth of what Paul was saying.
