Why do some believers reject the pre-tribulation rapture? | Our Blessed Hope Bible Study

Why do some believers reject the pre-tribulation rapture? First of all, unbelievers laugh at and mock the idea of a rapture. Yet some of these same people might believe in alien abductions, alternative universes, and other such things! They don't want to admit that they are sinners and that God's wrath on a predominantly unbelieving world is coming. But even some believers don't want to admit to just how vile man's flesh is and how that judgment is going to come upon unbelievers. They want to believe that God never has righteous anger or that he will righteously judge all people! Many of these same people reject the believers judgment seat of Christ as well in which believers are judged on the sound doctrine in our inner man (or lack thereof) that we have believed and obeyed. They want to talk themselves into walking after the flesh instead of in the Spirit, so they reject the teachings about the judgment seat of Christ.  Universalists want to believe that everyone is s...

God's wisdom is far greater | 1 Cor 1:19-21 Bible Study

1 Corinthians 1:19-21 | God's wisdom is far greater! 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. To begin with, this verse starts by saying "For it is written". Paul is referring to Isaiah 29:14 which says,  "Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid." Man thinks that with his religion, philosophy, science, art, music, technology, fashion trends, etc that they are so wise. In their "wisdom" they also most often reject God. Not only that, but they use their wisdom to preach against God. This even happens in Christendom. They might talk about Jesus, but it's usually not the Lord Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery. They might talk about "the spirit", but its usually not the...

What needs to be done today? | Homemaking Encouragement

Dear homemaker, what things need to be done today? Do you find yourself with time on your hands and you are not certain what else you could do? Instead of spending your extra time scrolling social media, watching streaming shows or the news, calling others to gossip, shopping or getting a part-time job outside of the home, think about the many things that could be done in the home first. Of course you don't have do all of these things in one day, just look over the list or think of other similar things that could be done and take action.  • First, have you done your Bible study for today? If you have a lot of extra time, why not start doing more advanced Bible studies or spending more time each day simply reading the Bible. This is well-worth your time because you are building sound doctrine in your inner man (mind & heart). Have you studied books in the Bible verse by verse? Or Perhaps pick a topic to study out like "marriage and family," "creation" or ...

Romans 6:5-7 | Verse by Verse Bible Study

Father God, thank you that we can spend time together reading and studying your holy word. Lord I pray that we will understand that our old man (the sin nature) has died and that we are now a new creature in Christ. The sin nature doesn't have power over us anymore, we can choose to walk in the Spirit instead .  May we continue daily to choose to walk in newness of life instead of following after the lusts of our flesh.  In Christ's name we pray, amen.  Romans 6:5 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Christ died for us but he was also raised from the dead so that we too can be raised up to eternal life in him. This is an amazing thing! Our old sin nature was crucified. It is dead and buried. But, we now have God's Spirit living in our spirit which means that we have been raised up to eternal spiritual life in Christ. God does NOT undo any of this for any reason! And i...

Unrealistic expectations | Careful for Nothing Grace Devotional

Unrealistic expectations can lead to feelings of anxiety, stress, fear and depression. Unrealistic expectations can include: • Expecting or hoping that God will do something for us that he isn't doing today. • Expecting certain things from the world and not getting what we wanted. • Expecting other people to be a certain way and then they let us down when they aren't that way. • Expecting things from ourselves and then getting depressed when we don't meet our own expectations.  Let's look more closely at each of these things.  • Expecting or hoping that God will do something for us that he isn't doing today. Many people will pray for God to do something and then when he doesn't meet their expectations, they get angry as well as anxious, fearful, worried, stressed and depressed. For example, God isn't physically, miraculously healing us today in the dispensation of grace like he did during Christ's earthly ministry. We have doctors, medicine, natural medi...

Our Blessed Hope | Eternally Secure in Christ | Bible Study

Our Blessed Hope | Eternally Secure in Christ  In order to fully understand the reason why believers will be delivered from the seven year tribulation period on the earth, we must understand that every believer in the dispensation of grace is Eternally Secure in Christ Jesus from the very moment that they believed the Gospel of the grace of God.  Let's look over some Bible verses that give us assurance of our eternal salvation.  ✝️ We are IMPUTED with Christ's righteousness the moment we believe the gospel (1 Cor 15:3-4), we do not have our own righteousness.  2 Corinthians 5:21 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. ✝️ Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ  Romans 5:1 5 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: ✝️ There is NO condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus (and there is no s...

1 Cor 1:18 | The preaching of the cross

1 Corinthians 1:18 | The preaching of the cross  18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. This is really an incredible verse. I'm always amazed that the vast majority of people in this present evil world, consider the finished crosswork of Christ as being nothing but pure foolishness. How many people are in hell because they spent their whole lives rejecting this glorious gospel? Many! It isn't just the so-called athiests and other people of the like, but also the religious people, who were trusting in their own religious works for salvation instead of trusting in Christ's death, burial and resurrection as atonement for their sins! But for us believers, we KNOW that it is the power of God. We have been saved! Christ did it all. He paid for it all! We could never earn our way into heaven! All we did was simply believe it, and believing is not a work! In Romans 1:16 Paul had said, "For I am ...

She that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth | Biblical Womanhood

“She that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth” (1 Tim. 5:6) 1 Tim 5:6 says, “she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth”. What does this mean? First of all, in the first half of 1 Timothy chapter 5, Paul is speaking about honoring widows and how widows are to behave and live. The whole book of 1 Timothy is about preaching the gospel, avoiding false doctrines and our conduct as believers so that we don't blaspheme God's word.  Everything that we do as believers needs to be about the gospel including sharing it with others, teaching sound grace doctrine to others and allowing Christ to live in and through us as believers in the hopes also that the unbelievers in our lives will be saved and that fellow believers who are weaker in the faith will desire to mature spiritually through the word.  There is to be a specific order in the church as far as teaching doctrine is concerned. The aged women and those women who are more spiritually mature in the faith are to te...

Romans 6:1-4 | Verse by Verse Bible Study

Father God, thank you that we can spend time together reading and studying your holy word. Lord I pray that we will learn as believers to use our freedom in Christ to lovingly and thankfully serve God by allowing Christ to live in and through us. In Christ's name we pray, amen.  Romans 6:1-4 In Romans chapter five we learned that we are eternally secure in Christ Jesus. This means that once we have believed the gospel of the grace of God unto justification, we can never loose our salvation NO MATTER WHAT. This will usually cause our flesh to then ask "well then, what sins can I get away with?" Usually after a person is saved they start to ask questions like "Can I still listen to secular music as a believer?", "Can I drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes?", "Can I buy lottery tickets?" Etc. The questions we should be asking is "now that I'm saved, how can I serve God, bring glory to God, help others to be saved and how can I mature spiri...
